Dear
HGSS Memebers
I
have great pleasure in attaching a copy of the
Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue Community
Development Review, which is entitled Meeting
the Needs of Our Members.
We
our justly proud of our community and its many
achievement over the past 75 years. However
it is important not to be complacent and it
is with this spirit that we embarked on the
review in May 2008. The main objective being
to develop the strategy and plans to ensure
we sustain and grow the energy, diversity and
vibrant engagement of our community for the
future.
Over
the course of the review we have had feedback
from over 400 members and consulted with many
constituent groups. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all those that participated
in the initial sessions, completed the survey
or sent in their comments and opinions. All
this has enabled us to have a greater understanding
of what our members want from the Synagogue.
I
would like to thank the dedicated committee
members who have worked tirelessly over the
course of the past 16 months to complete the
research and analysis required for this review.
I would also like to thank David Sagal and the
administrative staff for their support and assistance
during the course of the review. Special thanks
also goes to Rabbi Livingstone for his support
and engagement throughout this process.
The
report has been presented to the Honorary Officers
and Board of Management. The Honorary Officers
have accepted the recommendations that we have
made, and have begun to put together a plan
of action to begin there implementation.
Printed
copies of the report are available from the
synagogue office and feedback or comments can
be submitted via the website.
