What's this all about?
Next year, we will celebrate the 75th anniversary
of Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue. We're
justly proud of our community, its heritage
and its contribution to the many who have been
touched by it.
Today we have over 2000 members, comprising
of 1200 households, services every day of the
year, many devoted and diverse groups, a lively
youth sector - in all a wealth of welfare, cultural,
spiritual and educational resources and services.
All this means that we can be justly optimistic
about the future of our community. Yet, it is
important not to be complacent. We acknowledge
that things are never perfect - there are always
challenges we can address and opportunities
we can embrace.
It is with that spirit that we have embarked
on a 'Community Development Review'.
We have two objectives:
- First, to understand the needs and aspirations
that our members have with respect to HGSS
and the extent to which we meet them.
- Second, to develop the strategy and plans
that ensure we sustain or even grow the energy,
diversity and vibrant engagement of the widest
possible community.
