Nefesh Network, formerly the Norrice
Lea helpline, was set up to be the
heart beat of the community at HGSS
- a comprehensive and completely
confidential support network within
the shul for all our members, reaching
out in times of simcha as well as
sadness. The network is resourced
through our members and is available
for anyone in the community to access
help on a variety of issues from
shopping, to accompanying on hospital
trips or other visits, to providing
company or someone to talk to -
in fact, whatever it is, it's worth
asking, we might be able to help.
The aim is that as many members
as possible will feel comfortable
in benefiting from or contributing
to the service, or indeed, both.
The initial point of contact is generally
through the phone line which is manned on
Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings, but
leaving an answerphone message at other
times will result in a call back within
one working day. If you feel we might be
able to help you, a member of your family
or anyone else in the community, or you
would like to become part of our volunteer
team please ring us. Chazan Avromi visits
members in hospital - so please contact
us if someone you know is in hospital or
unwell and would like to receive visits.
